Information regarding suspicious person in area of Newington Drive 
On Thursday, 1 March 2012 at approximately 1:35 PM, a resident of the 200 block of Newington Drive observed a male walk up her neighbor’s driveway. The neighbor called 911 and reported her observation. A search of the neighbor’s property revealed no problem but the police continued looking for the suspect in the neighborhood. He was found on a nearby street. A check of his criminal history indicates that the individual is a career criminal who is on probation for burglary.
Your neighborhood did not have a burglary on Thursday because of the observations and actions of an alert neighbor. Due to her IMMEDIATE call to 911, the Upper Moreland police were able to intervene and make it very clear to this criminal that he was scoping out the wrong neighborhood. There is no better partnership than the one that exists between residents and the police. Thank you for your help!
