A word of caution:
A Omaha, Nebraska based company identifying itself as Heartland Health Systems phone number 402 991-5906, which has NO affiliation or involvement with Heartland Health in St. Joseph, has representatives in our area who are attempting to sell Filter Queen indoor air quality systems. The systems are comprised of a vacuum cleaner and a stand alone air filter. The company’s system price is $2,600.00 for the vacuum and $999.00 for a stand alone filter. The company does admit that the system can be purchased much cheaper, however they contend their lifetime warranty justifies the elevated price. As far as we can determine the company may be legitimate, but is not accredited buy the Better Business Bureau. We have received information from community residents that they felt the company may be targeting elderly and the tactics were a little heavy handed. Currently this is for information only.
