Enid Couple Arrested for Drug Charges/Mother Charged with Child Abuse

Enid Detectives arrested an Enid couple after a two year old child was rushed to the emergency room. Enid Police received a 911 phone call at approximately 5:30 AM this morning and the caller advised that a small child possibly ingested a bag of drugs and that the child was vomiting. Wyatt Gungoll, age 24, arrived at St. Mary’s emergency room with the two year old victim. Doctors and staff treated the child and had him transported to Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma City due to the seriousness of his condition.

Enid detectives served a search warrant at the couple’s residence, 1714 E. Cedar. Narcotics detectives found seven (7) one-pot methamphetamine labs. They also found a large amount of precursors used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine. Det. Sgt. Reddick said, “They could have continued to manufacture methamphetamine with the items that were located inside of the residence.” He said that there were four (4) labs in the attic and three (3) labs in the utility room. He stated that there was a syringe on the floor and marijuana in numerous places in the house that a child could reach. Det. Sgt. Reddick advised that this was a very dangerous environment for anyone due to the chemicals and waste that were present. The narcotic officers had to wear special safety suits and self contained breathing equipment while they processed the scene.

Det. John Robinson interviewed the mother of the child, Alexandra Winkler, age 21. Winkler told Det. Robinson that she lived at 1714 E. Cedar with her boyfriend, Wyatt Gungoll , and her two year old son. She told Det. Robinson that she knew there were methamphetamine labs inside of the house. Winkler was arrested and charged with Child Abuse, Manufacturing CDS, Possession of Marijuana in the Presence of a Minor Child, Possession of Paraphernalia, Maintaining House where Drugs are Kept or Sold and Possession of CDS within 2000 ft. of a School. DHS assisted and took custody of the child.

Wyatt Gungoll was also interviewed by detectives and subsequently arrested. He was charged with Manufacturing CDS, Possession of Marijuana in the Presence of a Minor Child, Possession of Paraphernalia, Maintaining House where Drugs are Kept or Sold and Possession of CDS within 2000 ft. of a School.

Winkler and Gungoll are being held without bond at the Garfield Detention Facility.
