This morning, Officers were patrolling the area in the 2200 block of North Slappey Boulevard (Smart Cars) when they observed a white 1999 Acura TL leaving the lot without any lights on. The vehicle turned onto Whispering Pines Road and then onto Acker Avenue. On Acker, the driver drove into an open field and got struck in a large mound of dirt. The three suspects jumped out of the vehicle. Officers gave chase and one of the suspects was apprehended. Officers canvassed the area but were unable to locate the other two suspects. After further investigation, officers discovered that the business had been burglarized and keys were also stolen. There is no further information regarding description of the suspects at this time.
