Recently Grosse Pointe experienced the theft of a catalytic converter from a vehicle. We have been fortunate since other communities have had these stolen on a regular basis. Thieves steal these sections of the vehicle exhaust system for the platinum inside and usually use battery operated saws. Be aware of unusual activities around vehicles especially late at night, and never heisitate to call the police.
