Roadwork begins on Washington Boulevard and Rosemead Boulevard
Motorists are being advised of upcoming lane closures and traffic delays due to two street projects taking place near Washington Boulevard and Rosemead Boulevard.
Slurry sealing of Washington Boulevard from the east City limits to Rosemead Boulevard will be taking place on Saturday, March 31 and Sunday April 1. In preparation of the slurry sealing, minor repairs such as pot hole repairs and skin patching are now taking place on the stretch of Washington Boulevard scheduled to be slurry sealed.
Concurrently, work on the Rosemead Boulevard Rehabilitation project is taking place on the corners of Washington and Rosemead Boulevard.ADA upgrades on corner ramps are now taking place as part of the rehabilitation project.Work on Rosemead Boulevard between Telegraph Road and Washington Boulevard will continue through late May.
During the work, motorists are advised to seek alternate routes during this time and expect delays.
Motorists are also reminded to observe all traffic control, parking restrictions and flagmen in and around the construction zone.
