Announcement:
The Jackson County Emergency Management Agency uses the Nixle system to provide the public with post-incident response information.

Many inquiries have been made about the use of this service for weather watches and warnings. We believe that the use of Nixle could create unnecessary delays in the re-broadcast of very time sensitive information. We recommend the use of a NOAA weather radio, access to local broadcast media (radio/TV), or subscription to a text messaging service provided by private sector entities like The Weather Channel online or WeatherUnderground.
