An attempt was made to break into a home through the garage by kicking in a door while the homeowners were away for a week. Take these precautions if you are away for an extended period:
-Have someone watch the house and check-up on it.
-Leave lights on or radios/TV's on timers and switch them up.
-Notify the police department if you will be gone for an extended period and wish to place your home on special attention.
-Have neighbors park in your driveway.
-Place mail and newspapers on hold or have someone pick them up.
-Have an alarm system, register it with the City, and set it!
