Enid Animal Vaccination Clinic

Pet Owners

The Enid Police Department, Enid Animal Control and local veterinarians will conduct their annual animal vaccination clinic at the Garfield County Expo Center, South Chisholm Trail Pavilion Area, 111 W. Purdue in Enid on Sunday, April 15, 2012, between 12:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.

The clinic is open to the public and will include pet vaccinations for rabies and the issuance of the pet licenses as required by local ordinance. The clinic entrance will be on the south side of Chisholm Trail (South) Pavilion Area. There is plenty of parking and access to the area can be made off Washington, Purdue or Oxford Streets. There is no need for reservations.

The public is encouraged to participate in this event as special arrangements have been made to receive your animal’s annual rabies vaccination and city license for a reduced fee of $9.00 per pet. Payment for the fee can be made in cash or by personal check. “This is quite a saving’s to pet owners who would normally take their pets to a clinic and then a trip to the police station to get them registered.”

Residents are reminded that licenses are required for every dog, cat or pot bellied pig over the age of 6 months. Licenses are issued on a yearly basis and expire at the end of the calendar year (December 31). By registering the animals, it will allow for identification of the owner should the pet become lost or stolen. The fines and court costs are $149.00 for failing to register their pet.

Animal control officers and local veterinarians will be on-hand to administer the vaccines and issue the city pet license. They will also be available to answer general questions concerning the health of their animals and local ordinances concerning pet care and owner responsibilities.
