Operation Take Back - Rx drug disposal - 04/28/2012
The Elmwood Park Police Dept will be hosting an Operation Take Back local collection site as part of the Operation Take Back Medicine Disposal Day.

The event will take place at the Elmwood Park Police Station, 182 Market St, between the hours of 10 am and 2 pm on Saturday, April 28, 2012

This initiative, open to all residents, was organized to encourage local community residents to properly dispose of their unused, unwanted and expired medicine. Residents can bring unwanted, expired or unused medicines for disposal. We ask that you remove any labels with personal information from prescription bottles and insure that bottles containing any liquid medication / drugs are properly sealed. There are no forms to fill out and the process is completely anonymous.

Syringes, needles and other "sharps" will not be collected. They should be disposed of in the proper manner for the particular item.
Due do strict laws and guidelines we are able to accept medications only during the times on the specified date. We CANNOT accept medication either before or after the event.
