Just after 1:50 p.m. a white male, described as being approximately 40 years of age, ruddy complexion, clean shaven and wearing a maroon sweatshirt, attempted to break into a home in the 900 block of Dedham Street.
The homeowner heard a knock on the door but did not answer it. She then heard a smash and observed the above suspect reach in to try and unlock the door. The homeowner screamed and the suspect fled on foot, in an easterly direction on Dedham Street.
The homeowner chased after the suspect and observed him get into a few year’s old, aqua blue, small rounded vehicle. The vehicle then fled east on Dedham Street, which then turned into Baker Street West Roxbury.
