Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide Bureau detectives responded to the 6600 block of Danby Avenue, unincorporated Whittier, to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a male Hispanic adult.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
