Amtrak schedule changes begin May 7. May impact traffic on the SR 347. Check amtrak.com for the latest schedule information. 
Beginning May 7, Maricopa drivers will need to plan extra travel time during their morning commutes due to an Amtrak schedule change that will impact travel on State Route 347. The new schedule changes are as follows:
•On Monday, Thursday and Saturday, the train will arrive at approximately 5:30 a.m. and leave at approximately 5:40 a.m.
•On Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, the train will arrive at approximately 8:52 p.m. and will depart at approximately 9:02 p.m.
•No Amtrak trains travel through Maricopa on Wednesdays or Fridays.
•These schedules will change again when daylight savings time ends in the fall.
