Drug search warrant executed on 5-8-2012.
Giles County Sheriff’s Narcotics Investigator Michael Thomason along with Deputy Scott Nations, Investigator Shane Hunter and Chief Deputy Tommy Chapman executed a drug search warrant at 321 W. College St in Pulaski. City Police Officer Gerrod Shirey assisted in the case. The residence of sixty-six year old Thomas Arsten Gentry was searched by the officer and they recovered a .22 caliber handgun that is suspected of being stolen from a Pulaski resident, numerous prescription pain pills some of which were not prescribed to Gentry, chain saws and other power tools suspected of being stolen items that were possibly traded for drugs.
While other officers searched the residence Deputy Scott Nations went to look for Gentry as he was not at the residence when the officers executed the warrant. Deputy Nations located Gentry and subsequently arrested him and seized prescription pills, cash and a pickup truck. Gentry’ remains in the Giles County Jail charged with possession of schedule III drugs for resale within one thousand feet of a city park, another possession of schedule III drugs for resale, his bond is $15,000. Other drug related charges are forthcoming.
While officers where in the residence they received a call from someone wanting to buy pills from Gentry. Investigator Hunter talked to a female and she wanted to buy some pain pills from Gentry and she told hunter she had to go to the bank and would be right over. Officers continued their search and a woman later identified as forty-seven year old Genia Leslie Conner of Pulaski. Conner showed up at the house and walked in without knocking and was confronted by officers. Conner said she was there to borrow pills not buy them but she had just took a loan at a loan center in Pulaski moments before her arrival at the residence. Conner is currently on probation from a previous conviction. She was charged with solicitation to purchase schedule III. Seized form Conner was $203 cash. She was transported to the Giles County Jail and then released after posting a $10,000 bond.
