NJSP advises you to AVOID Route 40 in Pilesgrove Twp due emergency roadway repairs.
Damage sustained from the recent heavy rains has caused a sinkhole at on Rt 40 at MP 13.5 (.2 miles East of Avis Mill Road).
NJ DOT has established a detour between Avis Mill Road and Pole Tavern Circle.
Repairs are expected to continue into the evening.
