The Columbia Township Police Department is asking the public’s assistance in locating Patrick Erin Oswald. Patrick E. Oswald currently has a felony warrant for his arrest in connection to a fraud. His exact whereabouts are currently unknown; however he is believed to possibly be in the Lansing area.

On March 26th, 2012 the Columbia Township Police was contacted by the victim of a fraud. The victim, a 52 year old resident of Lake Columbia, alleged that Oswald was able to defraud her of approximately $27,000.00 dollars without her knowledge, after stealing the victim’s ATM card and her PIN number.

Once the victim was made aware of this loss she contacted her bank, who advised her to contact the police.

As a part of the investigation, video evidence was located with the assistance of a local bank branch in Brooklyn. The video showed the suspect, identified as Patrick E. Oswald, was acting alone.

On April 20, 2012, the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office issued a single count felony warrant charging Patrick E. Oswald with “Illegal Use of a Financial Transaction Device”, a four-year felony. Attempts to locate Oswald have thus far been unsuccessful.

Patrick E. Oswald is a 56 year old white male, and is described as 5’09” in height, approximately 200 pounds, gray hair, and hazel eyes. He is not believed to have a vehicle of his own, at this time. A picture of the suspect is attached.
