On May 9, 2012, Pico Rivera Sheriff's Station personnel worked as waiters and hosts at the Tip-A-Cop event at the Chili's restaurant in Pico Rivera to support Special Olympics. Numerous station employees, Mayor Bob Archuleta and citizen from the community dined at the restaurant to support the event. The deputies earned over $2,000 in tips, which will benefit the athletes of the Special Olympics program.
