The Worth Police Department would like to inform you that we have had several damage to vehicle reports taken over the past weekend. Reports have been made alerting us to windows damaged by bricks and rocks.

If at all possible, always park your car in a safe well lit place. Park your car by an open window or where you can check on it easily. Leave lights on outside your residence or in your driveway.

Always lock your car and never leave valuables in your car for thieves to take. We have taken several reports from motorists who have left their cars unlocked. They return to their cars to find things missing and their compartments and property gone though.

Locking your car can prevent much of the problem. Never leave valuables in plain view. Even better, remove valuables from your vehicle for the evening. Never leave wallets, purses or anything with financial information where it can be so easily taken.
