Hollenbeck Division has been experiencing a high number of GTA (Grand Theft Auto) and Robbery (chain snatches) incidents, within the Boyle Heights Community. The area of concern has been along the Soto Street corridor from Marengo St, down to Olympic Blvd.
The majority of GTAs have occurred between midnight and noon.
Please continue to lock your vehicles. Do not leave items in plain view and utilize aftermarket accessories, such as ignition "kill" switches (devices), steering wheel locking devices, etc.
The majority of Robberies have occurred between noon and midnight. Please be aware of your surroundings and help make yourself less of a target by not wearing jewelry that's visible. It may assist in warding off suspect(s) looking for a potential chain snatch, and also from you becoming a victim.
