Pico Rivera Sheriff's Station is advising residents that two power transformers in the area of Pico Rivera and Downey have failed, and approximately 1300 residents are without power.
One transformer was located at the intersection or Arrington Avenue and Telegraph Road, Downey.
The other transfomrer was located near the 9300 Block of Slauson Avenue, Pico Rivera.
The following streets have been affected.
1. Flashing Signal at Telegraph Road and Rosemead Boulevard affecting the exit off the 5 fwy at the Rosemead Boulevard.
2. Flashing Signal at Slauson Avenue and Passons Boulevard.
4. Reeves Street and Bermudez Avenue are closed.
Southern California Edison is on scene working to resotre the power to the affected areas.
Currently there is no estimate on when power will be restored.
