Ingham County Deputies locate meth lab components

The Ingham County Sheriff's Office responded to a suspicious vehicle / possible stalking complaint at a local business in the City of Leslie. Upon arrival, an employee of the business saw the suspect's vehicle pass by. Dep. R. Hoeksma conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle which was occupied by a single male driver. During the investigation, several components used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine were observed in the vehicle. Members of the Tri County Metro Narcotics Squad were called to assist with the handling of several hazardous materials found in the car that are used to manufacture methamphetamine. A quantity of the actual drug (methamphetamine) was also discovered in the car. The evidence was turned over to the Tri County Metro Narcotics Squad for chemical analysis by the MSP Lab and hazardous waste disposal. The investigation will remain open pending the results of a chemical analysis by the MSP Lab. END.
