West Trenton, N.J. – The New Jersey State Police Missing Persons Unit and the Hamilton Twp. Police Department (Mercer County) are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the remains of a deceased man found in Hamilton, N.J.
On July 20, 2011, the discovery of a deceased male was reported to the Hamilton Twp. Police Department. The body of the man was located in a wooded area off South Broad Street near the Interstate 295 overpass. This area is frequented by homeless individuals and transients.
The man is described as a white male approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, and may be between 45 and 55 years of age. He was wearing plaid (navy, white, and red) pajama bottoms and a white t-shirt. He was also wearing blue medical/surgical type shoes with two Velcro straps (see attached photo). Typically, this type of footwear is utilized by people diagnosed with diabetes.
The man was also in possession of a gold ring and designer watch (see attached photo).
A composite drawing (also attached) was created by a NJSP forensic artist, in cooperation with Donna Fontana, the NJSP Forensic Anthropologist, after careful examination and measurement of the man’s bone structure. The artist’s final rendering was a result of this forensic examination and interviews with a witness who saw this man a week prior to his death.
Anyone with information regarding the possible identity of this individual is encouraged to contact Detective Dan Inman of the Hamilton Twp. P.D. at 609-581-4008, or the NJSP Missing Persons Unit at 609-882-2000 x2893.
