Celebrate Des Peres Night Out on Tuesday, October 2nd!

The St. Louis Area Police Chiefs Association has established the first Tuesday of October as St. Louis Night Out in lieu of the National Night Out in August. So on October 2nd we will celebrate the even in neighborhoods all across the City. The goals of Des Peres Night Out are to foster partnerships between members of the community and our police and fire organizations and to acknowledge the many residents and neighborhoods who are taking an active role in promoting safe neighborhoods.

Between 6 and 9 pm on October 2nd residents are encouraged to meet and socialize with their neighbors. During this time, Des Peres Police Officers, Fire Fighters, members from the Des Peres Public Safety Commission and Des Peres Elected Officials will visit as many “block parties” as possible.

The Des Peres Police Department encourages you to organize residents to get together either at a neighbor’s home or in a safe location in your neighborhood. Ideas for different activities during National Night Out may be found at the National Night Out web site at www.nationaltownwatch.org.
