Detective John Robinson arrested David Michael Jackson Sr., age 50, earlier today for sexually abusing his 13 year old daughter.
A friend of the family reported the suspected abuse to police on Thursday. Apparently the girl disclosed the abuse to the friend. Det. Robinson conducted a forensic interview with the girl on Thursday. She gave details and told Det. Robinson that the sexual abuse had been occurring for the past four (4) years. DHS worked with Det. Robinson and conducted a joint investigation.
Det. Robinson interviewed Jackson later that same day. DHS took custody of the three children living in Jackson’s home. Det. Robinson obtained a warrant and arrested Jackson when he arrived earlier today for a meeting at the Department of Human Services, 2405 Mercer Dr.
Jackson was charged with Child Sexual Abuse and is being held on $50,000 bond at the Garfield Detention Facility.
