Los Angeles: A traffic collision in the San Fernando Valley resulted in the severe injury of a 76-year old woman.

On Friday, June 15, 2012 at approximately 0635 hours, a tan 2004 Chevy Silverado was traveling westbound on Ventura Boulevard negotiating a right turn onto northbound Fallbrook Avenue. The pedestrian was walking in the roadway and was hit by the truck, knocking her to the ground. The pedestrian, identified as Sondra Friedman, 76 years old and a resident of Woodland Hills, was transported to a local hospital in critical condition by Los Angeles Fire Department personnel.
The Driver of the truck is identified as Forrest Gayedon, 68 years old, a resident of Woodland Hills.
Valley Traffic Detectives are looking for additional witnesses who may have seen this collision.
