KIDNAPPING VICTIM DAVID LUNDY FOUND IN SOUTH CAROLINA Suspect Morris “Tommy” Lundy in Police Custody
The Mercer County Prosecutor's Office has released the following:
West Windsor, New Jersey—At approximately 11:30 a.m., law enforcement authorities received information that kidnapping suspect, Morris Lundy, age 50 of Old Meadow Road in West Windsor, and his grandson, David Lundy, age 5, were spotted at a McDonald’s restaurant on West Lucas Street in Florence, South Carolina. The Florence Sheriff’s Department dispatched an officer to the McDonald’s. The officer immediately located Morris Lundy and David Lundy.
Morris Lundy, who has been charged by the West Windsor Police Department with kidnapping, interference with child custody and endangering the welfare of a child, has been taken into custody and is currently being held in the Florence County Jail pending extradition.
David Lundy been evaluated by medical personnel in South Carolina. David was found to be in good spirits and was not experiencing any issues related to his asthma. David will be spending the night in Florence, South Carolina under the care of the South Carolina Department of Social Services. Case workers from the New Jersey Division of Youth and Family Services are coordinating the return of David to New Jersey with victim assistance coordinators from the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Upon his return, David will be under the care of the Division of Youth and Family Services.

Bocchini, Jr. expressed his deep appreciation to the members of his Child Abduction Response Team, West Windsor Police Department, Federal Bureau of Investigation including the Trenton, Newark, New York, Binghamton, Richmond, Virginia and Columbia, South Carolina Field Offices, New Jersey State Police, Lawrence Police Department, Mercer County Sheriff’s Office, Plainsboro Police Department, New York Police Department, Binghamton Police Department and the Florence County, South Carolina Sheriff’s Department for all of their assistance in this case.
The prosecutor also expressed his thanks to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children for all of their assistance in distributing information through their extensive network.
