Burglary Alert: Special Attention Neighborhoods off of Des Peres Rd 
On 06-26-2012 this department responded to two separate Residential Burglary reports in the neighborhoods surrounding Des Peres Rd. It is believed that both instances occurred during the overnight hours between 3:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. Entry was gained through unsecured exterior doors located on the rear of both residences. These entry points were situated as such to not be visible by the general public or passing patrol. Various electronic items were reported as missing at the time of this report. Investigation into these matters continues.
As always the Des Peres Police Department is asking that if you have observed any suspicious activity in the area that you contact the Detective Bureau at (314) 835-6200.

Please take extra care to secure your residence and vehicles prior to retiring for the evening. As most crimes are committed due to opportunities afforded to criminals, a few extra minutes taken may lessen the likelihood of becoming a victim.
