With the Holiday week approaching we wanted to remind residence that even with the LaPorte County under a BURN BAN fireworks are not included. Fireworks are allowed from June 29 thru July 9. From 5:00 PM until 11:00 PM. And on July 4th 10:00AM until 12:00 Midnight. This is not LBPD decision it is state law.
Please watch your neighbors during this EXTREME dry condition. With the shooting of fireworks it is not going to take much to start a fire. With the Burn Ban in place we have discontinued issuing bon fire permits. If you see something you think is dangerous please call us, 874-4243. If this is an EMERGENCY call 911.
If you should see someone you think is under the age of 21 and consuming alcoholic beverage call 874-4243.
