Advisory

Fireworks cancelled and Burning Ban in effect.

On the advice of the Ripon Area Fire District Chief, the fireworks display that had been scheduled for July 3rd at Murray Park has been cancelled. The fireworks display will be re-scheduled when conditions improve. Lori Rich, City Administrator

Due to the extremely dry conditions, I am issuing a declaration to ban all burning within the City of Ripon, except that confined to enclosed containers. (Note: Even when burning in enclosed containers, such fires must not be left unattended!) This is a necessary action to protect the health and safety of our residents, and it is similar to measures now being implemented by many neighboring municipalities. This ban is effective immediately, and it will not be lifted until conditions once again allow for safe burning.

Please contact me at 748-4914 or [email protected] if you have questions or concerns on this issue. Thank you very much for your cooperation!
