Heat Advisory continues and Fire Hazard concerns 
Due to the continued heat and lack of rain the village is asking everyone to do their part and use extreme caution with any type of fire ignition source (recreational fires, grills, Tiki Torches, and fireworks) due to the increased likelihood of unintentional fires. Citizens are reminded that fireworks are illegal and can be extremely dangerous. If you have concerns or complaints about an unsafe condition or fireworks in your neighborhood please call the police via the non-emergency line (815-385-6024). The police department will be proactively enforcing burning and firework regulations during this holiday season.
