NORTHERN DISTRICT
STABBING GLEN BURNIE
On July 10, 2012, at approximately 10:42 p.m., officers from the Northern District responded to the 7600 block of Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard in Glen Burnie for a report of a stabbing.
Arriving officers located an 18-year-old male suffering from stab wounds to his upper body. The victim was transported to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma with non life-threatening injuries. Investigation revealed that a verbal altercation took place between the male victim and a male suspect, escalating to the point that the suspect stabbed the victim and fled the scene prior to the arrival of police. Further investigation uncovered the identity of a possible suspect and sufficient evidence was discovered to place an individual under arrest. The suspect was apprehended at his residence a short time later and charged with Attempted Second Degree Murder, First Degree Assault, Second Degree Assault and Reckless Endangerment. The knife used during the assault was later recovered.
