On July 22, 2012 at 2:48 a.m., SBPD Officer Bruno Peterson and Officer Kyle Crooks responded to a call of a suspicious vehicle parked on the 00 block of Via Alicia. Three to four subjects were said to be associated with the car. Upon arrival Officer Peterson located the car, a red Nissan Altima, and observed three subjects attempting to hide behind it. Officer Peterson detained the three men who were identified as Jose Emmanuel Carachure, age 19, Jesus Antonio Aguirre, age 19, and Eric Rodriguez, age 20. The vehicle was registered to Carachure.

Approximately 131 square feet of property was vandalized resulting in approximately $1800.00 worth of damage. Carachure, Aguirre, and Rodriquez were arrested and booked into Santa Barbara County Jail for felony vandalism with a bail amount of $20,000.00.
