Detectives Seek Public’s Assistance in Kidnapping

The Dallas Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in a kidnapping that occurred during the early morning hours of July 24, 2012. At approximately 2:15 a.m. this morning, Ms. Elia Beltran, Hispanic females 20 years old and her female friend were walking from Club Rio on S. Walton Walker to their SUV when an unknown Hispanic male suspect walked up to them with a gun. The suspect forced both females into the complainant’s vehicle and drove them around the city demanding money. At approximately 3:15 a.m., the suspect finally stopped at the 1300 block of Pacific Avenue in the East Dallas area. The suspect forced the female friend out of the vehicle at this time and then drove off with Ms. Beltran. The complaint is still missing at this time.

The kidnapped complainant, Elia Beltran, is described as a Hispanic female 20 years old, 5’02” 100 lbs. She has long black hair and was last seen wearing a blue blouse and gray skirt (Please see photos below). Ms. Beltran’s vehicle is a 1997 Ford Explorer, dark green with a faded hood and lightly tinted windows. License plate is Texas FNT 089.

The suspect is described a Hispanic male in his 20’s, 5’5” 140 lbs. He has short black hair and was last seen wearing a red t-shirt, blue jeans, and brown work boots. This incident is documented on incident numbers 182789-z and 182802-Z.
