THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN POCATELLO HAS ISSUED A RED FLAG WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 9 PM MDT THIS EVENING.
* AFFECTED AREA: IN IDAHO...FIRE ZONE 413 CARIBOU RANGE/CARIBOU NF.
* TIMING: 2PM TO 9PM TODAY.
* THUNDERSTORMS: THE MOST LIKELY AREAS AFFECTED WILL BE AREAS SOUTH AND EAST OF POCATELLO SUCH AS LAVAL HOT SPRINGS...WAYAN AND THE BEAR LAKE AREA. MORE ISOLATED STORMS ARE EXPECTED FARTHER WEST IN THE FIRE ZONE.
* OUTFLOW WINDS: WIND GUSTS IN EXCESS OF 45 MPH WITH STRONGER STORMS.
* PRECIPITATION: AMOUNTS WILL GENERALLY BE LESS THAN 0.10 INCHES.
* IMPACTS: NEW STARTS DUE TO LIGHTNING. NEW AND EXISTING FIRES WOULD SPREAD DUE TO ERRATIC OUTFLOW WINDS.
