On Sunday August 5th, 2012, at approximately 8:35 P.M., a Traffic Collision vehicle vs. two pedestrians occurred in the community of Van Nuys, California. A 2012 Lexus RX350 traveling southbound on White Oak Ave #2 lane collided with two pedestrians south of Vanowen St. Both pedestrians were walking outside the crosswalk in a southwest direction when they were hit by the vehicle. The driver of the Lexus immediately pulled over to assist and called 911, he was later released from the scene.

Both pedestrians were transported to a local hospital and were identified as Nagat Farag and Fouzi Farag from Los Angeles area. Fouzi was treated for minor injuries, Nagat was pronounced dead at the hospital.
