On August 8th, 2012, the Nash County Sheriff’s Office with assistance from the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation conducted an operation in Nash County which led to the arrest of two individuals. Law enforcement officials received information that Pernell Letroy Langley was selling illegal narcotics from his residence at 7192 Horsepen rd. Rocky Mount, NC. Officers conducted surveillance on Langleys’ residence and were able to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle that had been to the residence. The driver of that vehicle, Haywood Boone III, was found to be in possession of approximately 4.2 grams of crack cocaine and approximately 3 grams of marijuana. Boone, of 118 Randolph st. Enfield, was charged with possession with intent to sale/deliver cocaine, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place and simple possession of marijuana. Boone received a $20,000 secured bond and will have his first court appearance on August 9th.
This led officers to Langleys’ residence, 7192 Horsepen Rd. Rocky Mount, where after a search of the residence Deputy’s located approximately 83.3 grams of powder cocaine, 29.3 grams of crack cocaine, five grams of marijuana, $8,525.00 US currency and drug paraphernalia. Langley was charged with two counts of trafficking cocaine, maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place and possession of drug paraphernalia. Langley received a $200,000.00 secured bond and will make his first court appearance August 9th. Langley, who is originally from Beaufort County, has a drug history dating back to 1995.
