Press release- Subjects in July 30th Police chase surrender

Warsaw Police detectives have arrested two persons involved in a July 30th, 2012 drug transaction and subsequent high speed chase. On July 30th, Warsaw undercover drug officers were involved in a drug transaction with Brandon Adkins, age 27, of Highlander Drive, Warsaw. A chase occurred after Adkins stopped for a traffic stop in Warsaw, and then fled as officers approached the car, and traveled northbound on State Road 15. As a result, one person in the car jumped from the car on County Road 900 North and State Road 15, and was later transferred to a Fort Wayne hospital and released. The vehicle, a 2007 Lexus, fled the scene, and was not immediately located. The last contact with Adkins and Anderson was by telephone, in Westfield, Indiana, a suburb of Indianapolis, that night.

Based on the information known to police, charges of Conspiracy to Deal in Methamphetamine and Fleeing Law Enforcement, both felonies, were filed against Brandon Adkins, as well as a second subject in the car, Tiffany Anderson, age 30, of County Road 250 South, Warsaw.

Information was obtained that the pair, along with a third subject, traveled to Lakeland, Florida. Lakeland Police did locate a relative’s address there, but were unable to locate them there at the time.

On Sunday, August 12th, Tennessee police were involved in a high speed pursuit with Adkins and Anderson after the vehicle had been checked alongside a roadway, and fled when scrutinized. They were successful in fleeing Tennessee police.

Adkins and Anderson did contact Warsaw detectives on August 13th, and did make arrangements to turn themselves in to police. On Tuesday, August, 14th, both were located and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail for the pending charges and will be arraigned for those charges in the next few days.

The investigation continues. A third subject in the vehicle at the time of the July 30th pursuit is still being investigated and possible charges may be filed on that person.
