On August 20, 2012, Century Station deputies responded to the 3800 block of Platt Avenue in the city of Lynwood regarding a burglary in process call. With the help of a quick thinking neighbor who witnessed the burglary, information was shared with responding deputies regarding the suspects. Deputies managed to locate the get-away vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Several occupants inside the vehicle were identified and arrested for burglary.
It’s been said before, “If you see something, say something.” This adage helped the victim minimize her losses and led to the capture of four burglary suspects. Oftentimes, despite the best security systems on the market, the best security system is a concerned citizen with the courage to call the police when an incident is occurring.
