Giles County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Jim Storey acting in his capacity as Deputy United States Marshal Fugitive Task Force arrested 53 yr old Johnny Farrlin Comer. Comer was released from the Tennessee Department of Corrections on Parole three years ago where he was serving a sentence of 59 years for his part in a double homicide in Giles County in 1992.
Lt. Storey was assisting TN Bureau of Probation and Parole on a home visit and upon inspection Comer was found to be in possession of a loaded .22 caliber rifle. This was the same type weapon used in the homicides. Comer was arrested and transported to the Giles County Jail and subsequently charged as a felon in possession of a firearm and parole violation. Comer has since been returned to the Tennessee Department of Corrections.
