CalTrans will be repaving the eastbound #3 lane of El Camino Real from Bay St. in Mountain View to Mathilda Ave. in Sunnyvale tonight from 10pm to 7am. Traffic will still be allowed eastbound on El Camino Real but may be congested due to road work and equipment. For any questions or additional details see below or contact CalTrans.

SR-82 (El-Camino Real) Paving Project
Santa Clara County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will begin work on Monday, August 27 to grind and place hot mix asphalt on the southbound (eastbound in Mountain View) direction of El Camino Real (SR-82) in Santa Clara County. The road work will take place in the cities of Santa Clara, Sunnyvale and Mountain View from Lawrence Expressway to approximately .4 mile west of SR-85 in Mountain View.
Construction activities will be conducted in the evening Monday through Friday from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Caltrans will keep at least one lane open during construction and signs will be posted to assist motorists traveling through the area. The project will be completed in late fall 2012.
Project timeline:
8/27 Start on Bay Street in Mountain View to Mathilda Avenue in Sunnyvale.
8/28 Start on Mathilda Avenue to Lawrence Expressway in Santa Clara.
8/29 Start on Bay Street in Mountain View to Mary Avenue in Sunnyvale
8/30 Start on South Mary Ave in Sunnyvale to Maria Lane in Sunnyvale
There is no work scheduled for 8/31 due to the holiday. Additional information will be during the week of 8/27 as it becomes available.
