During the time period of 8/19-8/25 there were 17 reported bicycle thefts in Pacific Division. During the same time period Pacific Division Officers arrested 6 bicycle theft suspects. Many of these thefts are occurring from locations where bicycles are left in the open for all criminals to see. There has also been a recent trend of thefts from underground parking garages and car ports. These areas may seem secure, but they are not! keep your bikes inside, and when you must lock them outside always keep your bicycle in a location where you can watch it.
