POSSIBLE SCAM involving people attempting to solicit donations for school supplies. 
TO; NEDERLAND AREA BUSINESSES AND PATRONS
Several solicitors have approached Nederland Businesses operating under the names of Texas Outreach or Helping Hands the school district is not aware of or endorsing either of these organizations.
If you are approached by an individual asking for donations to purchase school supplies for the Nederland ISD, please verify the validity of the solicitation by asking for documentation from the Superintendent’s Office and/or contacting the school district at 409-724-2391. You may also contact the Nederland Police Department at 409-722-4965.
We would also ask that you attempt to get some type of personal identification from these people as well as license number and description any vehicle they may be using
