Just before 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon, a structure fire broke out on the 4200 block of Los Flores Boulevard in the city of Lynwood. Century Station deputies, along with firefighters from Los Angeles County Fire Engines 147 and 148, responded to extinguish the fire. The response was complicated by the dismissal of hundreds of students from nearby Lynwood High School. The area, however, was quickly cleared of cars and students. Fortunately, the fire was knocked down within a matter of minutes. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
