PRESS RELEASE: Aggravated Battery Arrest
This morning, Wednesday, September 5, 2012, at about 6:24 a.m., Warsaw Police responded to a 911 hang up call at 1613 E. Clark Street in Warsaw. Dispatchers called the number back and were told that a domestic argument was occurring and a female had a knife. Officers arrived and located Michael A. Mott, 41 years of age, of the same address, suffering from three (3) minor stab wounds to his right front chest. Emergency medical personnel attended to Mr. Mott, but he refused to be transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital for treatment. Warsaw Police recovered a steak knife used in the stabbing and determined that an argument over drug use occurred between Michael Mott and Crystal M. Bennett. The investigation showed that Crystal M. Bennett, 33 years of age, of the same address, and Mr. Mott fought between themselves resulting in minor injuries to each of them. Both parties were intoxicated. Warsaw Police transported Crystal Bennett to the Kosciusko County Jail and booked her in for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
