Hundreds Turn Out at Lynwood Park to Help Build New Playground
On August 29th, several Century Station deputies joined City Officials and hundreds of other volunteers in building a new playground on the northeast section of Lynwood Park. The venture was made possible with help from the Kool-Aid and KaBoom companies. The construction of the playground was a great way to recruit stakeholders in ensuring that the park is taken care of in the future. Volunteers helped in every aspect of the building of the playground, from mixing concrete to pour in the foundations, to laying down mulch. The efforts of several hundred people led to the creation of a new playground in one day, but the community will certainly benefit for generations to come.
