Anne Arundel County Police Western District Detectives serve two search warrants in Odenton for Drugs
On September 6, 2012, at approximately 5:00 p.m., detectives from the Western District Tactical Narcotics Team and Police and Community Together Unit executed a search warrant at 8719 Silent Court in Odenton, Maryland.
Detectives received information that a resident at this address was involved in illegal drug distribution. As a result, Detectives conducted an investigation which led them to believe drugs were being housed at the residence. Detectives observed who they believed to be the target of the investigation leaving the residence. A traffic stop was initiated and the subject was detained. Detectives subsequently searched the vehicle and located suspected powder cocaine and a large amount of currency. Detectives then searched the house and located additional quantities of cocaine and a scale.
The suspect was identified as Jeremy Holbrook, 33, of 8719 Silent Court in Odenton, Maryland. In total, 13.8 grams of cocaine with an approximate street value of $1,518.00, $7,144.00 in U.S. currency and a 2006 Lexus were seized. Holbrook was charged with possession of CDS cocaine with the intent to distribute, possess of cocaine, and possession of CDS paraphernalia.
On September 6, 2012, at approximately 9:30 p.m., Detectives from the Western District Tactical Narcotics Team and Police and Community Together Unit executed a search warrant at 864 Snow Valley Lane in Odenton, Maryland.
Detectives received information that residents at this location were involved in illegal drug distribution. Detectives conducted an investigation which led them to believe drugs were being stored in the residence. Detectives executed the search warrant and encountered several people in various parts of the home. A search revealed fresh or “homegrown” suspected marijuana that was still connected to stems and branches. This led detectives to believe there would be additional marijuana plants outside of the residence. A subsequent search of an outside garden area that was abutting the residence yielded several marijuana plants that were growing in the garden.
Additionally, detectives found a large amount of suspected powder cocaine, packaging materials and a scale in the residence. The cocaine amounted to approximately 85.7 grams with an approximate street value of approximately $9,427. The marijuana plants that were seized had an approximate value of $2,850. There was also approximately 23.5 grams of loose marijuana found in the residence with an approximate street value of $235.00. The below suspects were arrested and charged accordingly.
Suspect #1: Carl F. Miller, 51, of 864 Snow Valley Lane, Odenton, Md. The suspect was charged with possession CDS marijuana, CDS manufacturing marijuana, and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
Suspect #2: Mandy A. Gibson, 30, of 898 Hine Trail, Crownsville, Md. The suspect was charged with possession with the intent to distribute cocaine and possession of cocaine.
