The scam involves a check sent to you as payment to be a "Secret Shopper". There are logos printed at the top of the page from companies such as Best Buy, IKEA, Western Union, and Walmart. The letter asks you to "activate" the check by logging into a website. Once you log in, you are instructed to cash the check, and immediately go to Western Union to wire funds to a named source in Spain, to test the customer service skills of Western Union. In reality, once your bank finds the check to be fake, they will require you to repay them, and will freeze your accounts until you do. You will then be out the money you wired through Western Union. Be wary of any company that sends you a check that you are not expecting.
