The Fox Valley Marathon will be held Sunday September 16th, 2012. Expect road closures to facilitate event.

The Fox Valley Marathon will be held Sunday, September 16th, 2012. It will start at 7:00 am in Saint Charles. The runners will travel south on Route 31, east on Stevens Street to River Lane, south across State Street, and continue south, through the Kane County Government Center property. The runners will then exit the government center and travel south on Route 31 to the Fabyan Forest Preserve. They will run in the northbound curb lane. The roadways that will be closed during this event are Route 31, from Stevens Street in Geneva to Roosevelt in Saint Charles, River lane, from Stevens Street to South Street, State Street, between Illinois 25 and Illinois 31, and one northbound lane of Route 31, from 3rd Street to the Fabyan Forest Preserve. The roadways should be completely open for traffic at approximately 8:30 am. Please use caution when traveling through the area on Sunday morning. There will be numerous runners and spectators in the area.
