At the request of Federal Probation and Mr. Nakoula, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department facilitated a voluntary interview between the two. Mr. Nakoula was never under arrest, detained or in custody. He was free to leave and did so after the interview. He said he would not be returning to his Cerritos home.
