Van Power Outage

Power has been restored throughout Van. The reports of a fire at the Chevron plant were false, the visible glow was a normal gas flare that is in operation every night, just usually not visible. The low cloud cover and loss of ambient lighting made the flare more visible.

No actions are needed to assure public safety.
